The Centre for Mediterranean, Middle East and Islamic Studies (CEMMIS) of the Department of Political Science and International relations of the University of the Peloponnese organised the next e-lecture in the series The Middle East after the Gaza war: Nicholas Papachrysostomou on “The humanitarian crisis in Gaza”.

Nicholas Papachrysostomou is Head of Mission/Emergency Coordinator at Doctors Without Borders (MSF). During November-December 2023 he was in Gaza setting up the MSF response in the onset of the current crisis. He has participated in numerous emergency missions around the world with MSF, ranging from Colombia and Congo to search and rescue operations in the Central Mediterranean, to Bangladesh, Yemen, Iraq, Cameroon, and Spain during the Covid-19 pandemic amongst other
